The doll line we'll discuss today is (surprise) American Girl's Girl of the Year line.
This picture shows all of them, except for Saige (GOTY 2013).
With American Girl dolls, it's important to make sure you get the face right, especially the eyes. Try to make them slightly rounded and draw in the iris with a pencil before you color it. I know this sounds obvious, but it really gives the eyes more dimension. For monolids (Asian eyes), make the eyes less round but still draw in the iris.
Difficulty rating from 1(extremely basic) to 5(extremely difficult): 2
If you have any pictures of your paper dolls, please send them in to be featured in photo shoot Sunday!
Firstie! My favorite is McKenna because she uses her love for gymnastics to get better in school.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, do you have any plastic dolls?
No, but I want one someday!
DeleteMy favorites are Jess (pretty and I have an Aunt Jessie that looks like her), Lanie (have her, beautiful, and we both are science freaks), Mia (pretty, I used to skate), and Saige (beautiful, and I can relate)!
ReplyDeleteLanie, Jess, Nicki, and Lindsey! :) I like Saige too.... But probably my very favorite is Lindsey. Her story was so easy to relate to and she was super cute. Despite her small collection, It was all very good, and if I ever get the chance, I would love to own her!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them! Right now, I'm making McKenna and her collection.. Her bed is a sleeping bag instead of a loft bed, amd I'm not sure if I'll be making her beam and bar or not. My sister wants to make Nicki, and I have to do the wigs for her.

It's smart to make it as a bag - lofts are a bit tricky. How many wigs are you making?
